Teaching MuayThai for Self-Defense, Fitness or Competition
Here at Sor.NakSoo ThaiBoxing, we strive to bring our students the best in traditional muayThai training & fitness development. Our classes are structured to give our students a great cardio workout, an understanding and application of the finer techniques of Thai boxing, and a greater appreciation for the Thai culture & sport.
The head trainer is Mat Reid, a 4th Degree in muayThai. He started muayThai in 2000 and began teaching in 2002.
Mat also competes regularly in muayThai around Australia. He trains himself and also trains with Sor.Jaiphet Gym in Richmond, under trainer Tao.
We also work very closely with other BJC MuayThai gyms around Victoria. The closest gyms being Numurkah Muay Thai, with instructors Rob Pryde & Simon Hutchins, Cobram Muay Thai, with instructors Paul Steel and Darren Withers. The head trainer of Somerville Martial Arts Centre(SMAC) is Matt Ball who works closely with The Chief to provide a great syllabus for BJC MuayThai, & also organises the trips to Thailand.
